Summer takes a lot of planning when there are children to keep busy and active. There are all kinds of camp situations you and your kids can choose from. If they are in Day care the Day care center usually has field trips, swimming, and lots of inside and outside playing planned for their 3 to 12 year olds. City concerned organizations and Park Bureaus usually offer Day camp for 4 to 12 year old to participate in. Some are free some are nominal fees. Children going into third grade on up are old enough to participate in all day Science Camps, Art Camps, Sports camps, Music Camps, Drama Camps and more that community centers might offer.
Some kids will have the opportunities to participate in overnight camp programs for one or more nights in a row. They can attend Primary camps, Junior camps, JR High Camps, and High School Camps. During the school year your Elementary aged child might have been a part of an after school care program, these programs often have an off shoot that expands to a Day camp for the Summer program especially for k-5th graders. Being aware of what you can do to protect your childs eyes or body while your children are in a day or overnight camp can keep summer fun, safe, and full of wonderful memories.
Protecting eyes and skin are a number one priority for keeping summer safe as well as fun for your kids as well as yourself.
